This short film was created at PACT Zollverein in Essen Germany as part of an artist residency in 2007. It was made as an insert to the live theatre piece titled Living Room Legend (refer to Works for information and pictures). Busuttil drew inspiration from the mother character in the film 'Requiem for a Dream', she explores themes of loneliness, disillusionment and unfulfilled dreams; these themes are transformed into the character’s tumultuous journey through tragedy, sex and spaghetti.

The older woman lives a lonely reality that is distorted by her intake of prescription drugs and daily television consumption. Her mind is dulled by consumer messages and her reality becomes warped. The safety and intimacy that she feels with her friend the television allows her the possibility to escape into another world momentarily; a fantasy world of television genre that is much more exciting and colorful than her own domestic reality: a reality that is endless....just like 24 hour television.
